This is the sixth part of the Text tutorial. For this effect you need an image. The fifth part of the tutorial is here.Step 1 : Open any image.
Step 2 : Select the Horizontal Text Tool.
Step 3 : I have typed out the text.
Step 4 : Go the Layers/Channels/Paths pallette and drag the Fill slider all the way to the left.

Step 5 : The text is no longer visible.
Step 6 : Go to Layer>Layer Style>Inner Shadow

Step 7 : The letters become visible, but with the hardness gone.
Step 8 : In the Layer Style Inner Shadow Structure click the little black box which is for setting the color of Inner shadow. This will open the Color Picker.
Step 9 : The color picker opens. Use the cursor to click on a dark shade in the image (see white arrow at extreme left). You will find that the cursor takes the shape of an eye dropper. Click to select the color. Then click ok in the Color Picker.
Step 10 : In the Layer Style Inner Shadow Structure you will find that the color in the little box has changed to the one you selected. Click ok.
Step 11 : This is the effect.
Step 12 Go to Layer>Layer Style>Bevel and Emboss.
Step 13 : When the Layer Style Bevel and Emboss Structure opens, just click ok.
Step 14 : This is the effect you get.
Step 15 : Go to Layer>Layer Style>Outer Glow
Step 16 : In the Layer Style Outer Glow Structure notice the blue arrow. This is the default color. If you want to change it as in Step 8 and 9. I am not changing the default color. In Technique drag the Spread and Size sliders to the right. Move it just a little bit. You will be able to see the effect as you drag. Click ok when you are satisfied.
This is the effect. That is all for now. The seventh part is here.
